Following her love for being a true romantic, Cate Carpenter opened Little White Dress Bridal Shop in January of 2008, with the hope of being able to provide Colorado brides with a unique, personal, and welcoming dress shopping experience. The goal of a Little White Dress Bridal shopping experience is for brides to shop the store’s high quality inventory while also receiving high quality service from employees who treat you like family! As a dress shop owner for almost 14 years, Cate’s best advice for a bride-to-be is to enjoy every moment of this chapter of your life, and to not stress the little things! She also offered advice for brides who are shopping on a budget, and she explained that there are beautiful of all styles and sizes for reasonable prices too!
Cate was able to provide us with some insight about common misconceptions that brides-to-be make while shopping for their dresses! One of the common mistakes that new brides make is not realizing the lengthy process that goes into purchasing a wedding gown. Many brides do not realize that once they purchase a dress, it will take the designer an additional 3-5 months to actually make the gown! This is why it is important to start shopping for your gown 9-12 months before the wedding to ensure that there is enough time for the dress to be made, and altered if necessary before the big day!
