Ways to Budget and Still Have the Wedding No One Wants to Miss

Everybody dreams of having the wedding of the year. The one in which all guests leave with smiles on their faces after having a fantastic night. The perfect mix of being over the top while staying luxe and classy. However, things can add up quickly and become expensive. However, money doesn’t buy happiness, there are plenty of ways to budget in order to create a wedding that no one wants to miss.

What aspects of a wedding truly make it the wedding that no one wants to miss? The guests will not remember the details but rather the experience, so when deciding where to save and where to splurge, it’s important to think about what makes your wedding a unique experience. Food being one of the most important details of an experience. Everybody loves a great meal that leaves them feeling satisfied. This is one of the areas that you do not want to cut down on in order to make this dream wedding a reality. Spend on good quality food and save on the smaller details.

Bridesmaids gifts, groomsmen gifts or wedding favors are an example of one of the smaller details that are not worth splurging on. These do not make or break a wedding. Common gifts that go in any of these categories are bubbles, cups, candles, coasters or keychains. All of these types of knick knacks end up being thrown out or collecting dust. Nobody needs to want or remember these types of gifts. Your bridesmaids and groomsmen can be honored in a simpler way with a bottle of champagne or a night out to dinner on you, there is no need to spend excess money on mundane objects. Remember, your wedding is building an experience and small gifts do not add to that.

Decor is a very sensitive aspect that can really determine the mood and experience. With that being said, you don’t want to spend too much money on decor because it’s just for aesthetics but at the same time you don’t want to leave your area looking cheap. In order to avoid looking cheap, try not to take on too many do it yourself projects. These can add up to being more expensive than buying pre-made decor and will not look as good as a professional. Etsy has great options of professional pieces at affordable prices. For decorations, be conscious of spending in order to create your vision without wasting money on it.

Finally, just be yourself and focus on you the whole night! The day is about you and as long as you’re happy and having fun, that mood will radiate towards your guests. If you make it fun with your own personality by dancing and smiling then the rest just follows. Don’t be afraid to break traditions in altering your wedding to be something unique to you!
